Babar Azam makes huge gains in Men’s T20I batter’s rankings
Pakistan star Babar Azam has bridged the gap on Indian batting maestro Suryakumar Yadav in the ICC Men’s T20I batter rankings. Babar had a stunningly fruitful series against New Zealand, closing it out as the top run-scorer. Babar smashed a half-century in the fifth and final T20I, finishing the series with 125 runs in four innings at an average of 31 and a strike rate of 138.
Babar jumped one spot to move to fourth, consolidating his ratings with 763 points. Babar Azam’s fellow teammate Fakhar Zaman also improved his rankings, jumping 10 spots to 62nd. Fakhar Zaman ended the series against New Zealand with 104 runs. England batter Phil Salt, who has been in sensational form in the ongoing IPL, remains strong on the second position with 802 points.
India’s powerful batter in the shortest format Suryakumar Yadav continues to dominate on the top spot since replacing Babar Azam last year.
