IPL 2024: Undeterred SRH go against struggling MI

News

Sunrisers Hyderabad find themselves comfortably positioned in the top four, basking in the glow of potential playoff qualification. Their final-ball win in their last game against Rajasthan Royals further pushed them into the race for playoffs. SRH have ridden on the all-round display from their players, yet they have largely relied on their openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma for bright starts and their bowling attack has been led by formidable challengers skipper Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Unquestionably, SRH have demonstrated new vigour, resilience and determination since the start of the tournament, overcoming their challengers. With a full-strength lineup, SRH have consistently been coming up with impactful and imposing performances. They will now clash with Mumbai Indians in the 55th match on Monday at Wankhede Stadium. Going into this game, SRH will only hope to go over the line to strengthen their playoff chances.

Meanwhile, MI languish at the bottom of the table. Their hopes of making it to the playoffs have been shattered. Yet, they will be up for the SRH challenge. Mumbai Indians have recorded an uncharacteristically challenging campaign, having only won three games from their past eleven games. MI have struggled to find their rhythm across all departments. MI would hope to come out with great performances in their remaining games.
