Lucknow Super Giants’ allrounder Marcus Stoinis hit an impressive ton against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday, to guide LSG to a stunning 6-wicket victory at MS Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Coming to bat at No.3 with a daunting task at hand, Stoinis played according to the situation. Remaining calm, and keeping everything in order to play a match-winning knock, masterful Stoinis registered the second highest score in T20s, smashing 124 off 63, including 13 fours and six sixes

At the start, LSG found themselves in a huge turmoil after losing opener Quinton de Kock for a three-ball duck. But, Stoinis handled the task smartly, outplaying CSK bowlers in a rambunctious knock. LSG went past CSK’s 210 in 20 overs, scoring 213 with three balls to spare. After his brilliant knock, Marcus Stoinis revealed the most crucial advice from legend MS Dhoni. In a video shared by LSG, Marcus Stoinis opens about the winning mantra he received from Dhoni.

"MS Dhoni told this one thing to me. He said in big games, everyone thinks that I've got to do something extra. I've got to do something different. His mantra and how he speaks to himself is he stays there, he stands still and he says everyone else is going to change. I'm going to be the only one here that doesn't change and that holds him ahead of everyone else.," said Stoinis in the video.
