Change in Pakistan’s squad just ahead of the Asia Cup

Pakistan have made slight change into their squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Asia Cup is just two days away from its start and Pakistan have brought in middle-order batter Saud Shakeel into their squad for the Asia event. Tayyab Tahir has been incorporated as travelling reserve. Just recently, Pakistan finished their three-match ODI series against Afghanistan where they completed the series whitewash. Tayyab Tahir was part of the Pakistan’s squad against Afghanistan but didn’t get to play any game but, now he will be with Pakistan as travelling reserve in Asia Cup. On the other hand, Shakeel wasn’t part of the squad for Afghanistan series due to being the 18th player of the team. He played one game. Asia Cup will get underway from 30th August where Pakistan will come across Nepal in the first match.
