'He is our number one bowler': Deepak Chahar's praise for Siraj

Team India’s victory in the Asia up 2023 over Sri Lanka in the final was one of the captivating victories as they ended their long wait of having not lifted any ICC title. Team India had come out with incredibly superb & collective performance from their players as they bundled out Sri Lanka for just (50) runs. On the back of their victory in Asia Cup, India will be entering the three-match ODI home series against Australia from September 22nd. This series will be the best opportunity for India to maintain their rhythm and consistency moving into the ODI World Cup.
The striking contribution in India’s victory in the Asia Cup final came from fast bowler Mohammed Siraj who returned with six wickets to dismantle Sri Lanka’s top-order batters. There were enormous praises for Siraj in the wake of his record-breaking spell. Meanwhile, Indian bowler Deepak Chahar has also come out with high praises for Mohammed Siraj for his powerful bowling.
“I was watching the match, was at a practice. He bowled brilliantly. He has been bowling brilliantly since past year and so, that is why he is our number one bowler. We had not won a big tournament since long so its good we won the Asia Cup. It will give us huge boost heading into the WC,” Chahar told ANI in an interview.
