'Learnt a lot from him': Ruturaj Gaikwad on MS Dhoni

Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad is all set to lead team Indian cricket team in the ongoing Asia Games. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been a superb opener for India in recent times, plays under the leadership of MS Dhoni in the Indian Premier League. India will take on Nepal on Tuesday in the Quarter Final 1 at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, Hangzhou. While, talking to reporters, Ruturaj Gaikwad noted that he has learnt a lot from MS Dhoni but stated that every person’s style is different. Gaikwad also stated that he would like to lead the team in his own way.
“I have learnt quite a lot from him (MS Dhoni), but I think everyone’s style is different. His style is different, his personality is different and my personality is different,” Ruturaj Gaikwad told reporters.
“I would just try and be myself and not really look at what he usually does. Obviously, yes you have to pick out some things that he does really well, how he handles situations and how he handles particular players during a match. These are the few things that I have picked from him but I would like to lead the way I want. I just want players to express themselves,” he said.
