England bring in Brydon Carse as their replacement for injured Reece Topley

Pounded by a heavy blow amid their World Cup campaign, England are set to miss the service of their leading bowler Reece Topley who has been ruled of the World Cup due to having suffered fracture to his index finger of his left hand. Topley met with the injury during England's match against South Africa on Saturday where he went off the field but soon returned after taking treatment to complete his tally of overs. Topley hadn't come out to bat as England too had lost that match massively with their 229-run defeat.
"News we didn't want to bring you, Reece Topley has been ruled out of the rest of the #CWC2023. We're all with you toppers," England Cricket stated on 'X' (formerly known as Twitter).
England have now roped in Brydon Carse as Topley’s suitable replacement for their further campaign in the ongoing World Cup. Brydon Carse possesses vast amount of experience as he has been in 12 ODIs previously. England have their next match against Sri Lanka on Thursday as they are hoping to turn the tables to upgrade themselves moving further into the tournament.
