Double blow for Australia, after Maxwell, Marsh gets ruled out of England clash

In another blow for Australia, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has headed back home owing to personal reasons following which he has been ruled out of Australia’s upcoming encounter against England on Saturday. On Wednesday, Australia's intense all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was ruled out of the Australia's upcoming World Cup match against England due to concussion. Maxwell suffered concussion after falling off a golf cart thus slamming his head on the ground. The unavailability of these two all-rounders will be a massive setback for Australia after their surging performances in the past two matches. Maxwell and Marsh remain one of the essential parts of Australian team but in their absence, Australia will look for befitting replacements to fill the void. Australia have the presence of all-rounders like Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis.

“Australian allrounder Mitchell Marsh has returned home from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 late last night for personal reasons. A timeline on his return to the squad is to be confirmed. No further detail will be offered at this time,” a statement released by Cricket Australia stated.
