India’s middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer created a phenomenal record by being the third Indian batter to score back-to-back hundreds in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Shreyas Iyer took (67) deliveries to score his century in India’s World Cup semi-final game against New Zealand on Wednesday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Shreyas Iyer joined the likes of Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid to make this record. Rahul Dravid scored back-to-back centuries during the 1999 World Cup whereas Indian skipper Rohit Sharma achieved this record in 2019 World Cup. Shreya Iyer’s ton included (8) sixes and (4) boundaries.
