BAN vs NZ 2nd Test day 3 stumps: Bangladesh two down in their 2nd innings

Resuming their first innings’ score from 55-5 on day three of the ongoing second Test match between New Zealand and Bangladesh on Friday at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, New Zealand were bowled out for (180) with Glenn Phillips being the top-scorer with his 87-run knock. Bangladesh bowler Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz returned with three wickets each while Shoriful Islam and Nayeem Hasan claimed two wickets each to bowl out New Zealand for a low total. In their second innings, Bangladesh were 38/2 but bad light stopped the play. Bangladesh lost their two players in the form of Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Najmul Hossain Shanto only scoring (2) and (15) runs respectively. Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque were at the crease unbeaten on (16) and (0) when poor light forced the umpires to stop the proceedings. Bangladesh, in their first innings, had scored (172) runs wherein Mushfiqur Rahim and Shahadat Hossain scored (35) and (31) respectively. Bangladesh are leading by (30) runs. On day two, there was no action due to the continous rainfall. Whole day had been washed out due to rain.
