AUS vs PAK 1st Test day 2 stumps: Pakistan start off well but two down

Pakistan started their first innings in the ongoing first Test match against Australia on a striking note on day two on Friday with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq resisting Australia’s formidable bowling attack to keep Pakistan’s scoreboard ticking. After getting a perfect start, Pakistan lost their two wickets in the form of Abdullah Shafique (42) and skipper Shan Masood (30). Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc picked one wicket each. Earlier, resuming their first innings from their overnight score of 346/5, Australia on day two continued with their flawless batting to put up more runs on the scoreboard in the ongoing first test match against Pakistan at Perth. Mitchell Marsh displayed his resilient batting skills to add more runs to Australia’s mammoth total of first innings. However, Pakistan bowlers took early advantage of the conditions as they repeatedly struck to bowl out Australia for (487) with Mitchell Marsh scoring (90) runs. Aamer Jamal took (6) wickets to help Pakistan stop Australia from continuing their assault. On day one, Australian skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat with David Warner hammering (164) runs to give the team a dominant start. Pakistan in their first innings would look to pummel Australia to take the game as deep as possible. At stumps on day two, Pakistan were 132/2 with Imam-ul-Haq and Khurram Shahzad unbeaten on (38) and (7) respectively.
