NZ vs BAN 3rd ODI: Bangladesh thrash New Zealand in their historic win

In what turned out to be the most outstanding performance from Bangladesh, they skittled out New Zealand for the paltry of 98 runs in 31.4 overs with Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Shakib and Soumya Sarkar returning with three scalps each in the third and final ODI on Saturday at McLean Park. Put into bat, New Zealand failed to build the momentum with their top-class players Rachin Ravindra and Henry Nicholls being dismissed for 8 and 1 respectively. Will Young and Tom Latham top-scored with their scores of 26 and 21 respectively to push the side to 98. Bangladesh, chasing the target, won the game in the space of 15.1 overs with Najmul Hossain Shanto scoring 51 unbeaten to take the team over the line. Anamul Haque too made massive contribution with 37 runs. This is for the first time that Bangladesh have beaten New Zealand in New Zealand in ODIs.
