IND vs ENG 1st Day 3 lunch: Ashwin strikes, England one down

England were 89/1 in their second innings on day three of the ongoing first Test match against India on Saturday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Ahead of the lunch, Indian veteran Ravichandarn Ashwin struck to send opener Zak Crawley packing as he scored 31.

England are trailing by 101 runs in response to India’s 436 in their first innings. England are having Ben Duckett (38) and Ollie Pope (16) respectively at the crease as they prepare to continue with the proceedings post lunch. 

Earlier, England won the toss on day one, deciding to bat to be bowled out for 246 in their first innings. Ben Stokes’ resolute 70-run knock had helped the team avoid getting bowled out for a low score.
