BPL 2024: Fortune Barishal to cross swords with Rangpur Riders

The 38th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League will witness the face-off between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders on Monday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Rangpur Riders are positioned at top in the points table, becoming the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
Rangpur Riders have only lost two games from their ten matches as they sit atop points table with 16 points and the positive NRR of +1.773. They have won a total of eight games.
Fortune Barishal, on the other hand, are at the third position in the points table with six victories and four defeats from their 10 games that they have played so far in the tournament. Fortune Barishal are carrying 12 points with the positive NRR of +0.518. Despite being on the third position, Fortune Barishal would look for a win to consolidate their chances of making it to the playoffs.
Rangpur Riders will enter this game on the back of their win in their last game against Chattogram Challengers. Riders recorded their 18-run victory with the help of Shakib Al Hasan scoring 62 runs to propel the side to a total of 187 that Chattogram Challengers failed to achieve. Fortune Barishal, on the other hand, are also coming off a win from their last game against Sylhet Strikers beating them by 18 runs.
