IPL 2024 schedule: CSK to meet RCB in the opener on March 22

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 schedule has been announced with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) scheduled to host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opener on 22nd March at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Only partial schedule consisting off 21 matches has been released as of now, due to the general elections in the country. 

The rest of the schedule is expected to be released once the dates for the general elections in the country are out. Lok Sabha elections in the country are expected to be held in April and May this year. There are four double headers in the schedule. 

The first double header will take place between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals ( at 3:30 PM IST, 23rd march), and Kolkata Knight Riders clashing with Sunriders Hyderabad (at 7:30 PM IST). On March 24, Rajasthan Royals will take on Lucknow Super Giants at (3:30 PM IST) and Mumbai Indians battling Gujarat Titans.
