Multan Sultans, on the back of enormous performances from Usama Mir and Usman Khan, emerged victorious against Lahore Qalandars by 60 runs in the 14th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League on Tuesday at Gaddafi Stadium, maintaining their top position in the points table.

The match, witnessed a stellar performance by Usama Mir, who claimed six wickets to dismantle the Lahore Qalandars' batting lineup, while Usman Khan played a whirlwind 96-run knock to power the team to a competitive total of 214. Multan Sultans, being led by Mohammad Rizwan, have displayed a masterclass in both batting and bowling, showcasing their dominance in this year's PSL campaign.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Multan Sultans were given an early blow with the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, but Reeza Hendricks (40) and Usman Khan (96) led the scoring for the team, facing Qalandar’s bowlers upfront. Down the order, Iftikhar Ahmed scored a quick fire (40) to make his crucial contribution.

Chasing the target Lahore Qalandars were off to a crisp start with Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan scoring (23) and (31) respectively. But, their chase was dwindled by Usama Mir, who with his exceptional bowling skills, proved to be the nemesis for Lahore Qalandars' batsmen. His relentless attack and accurate line and length kept the opposition under pressure throughout the innings. Against a solid bowling attack. Lahore Qalandars could bring up (154) in (17) overs, suffering their sixth straight defeat in the tournament.
