In the highly anticipated clash in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), Babar Azam led Peshawar Zalmi and Mohammad Rizwan led Multan Sultans will be facing each other in the Qualifier on Thursday at National Stadium Karachi. The spotlight is going to be on Multan Sultans’ skipper Mohammad Rizwan and Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam as to how they lead their respective teams in a highly crucial clash.

Multan Sultans, dominating the points table, have been in a fine form in this edition of the PSL. Boasting a wealth of experience, Multan Sultans have displayed consistency and resilience throughout the tournament. Their road to the qualifier has been characterized by impressive performances, solid batting displays, and disciplined bowling efforts. They have recorded 7 victories from their 10 league stage games.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi, finishing at the second place in the points table, have also made their presence felt in the competition. Zalmi also possess explosive hitters and robust bowlers. Peshawar Zalmi have won six of their ten league stage games, suffering three defeats and one match ending in no result.

The qualifier match holds immense significance for both Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi. A victory here not only secures a direct passage to the final but also provides a dominance over the opponent. For the losing side, however, there is still hope as they will get another chance in the eliminator 2.

In their 15 outings, Multan Sultans have won 10, and Peshawar Zalmi have recorded 5 wins.
