IPL 2024: Final to be played in Chennai as BCCI reveals remaining IPL schedule

The final of the Indian Premier League IPL (2024) will be held in Chennai after BCCI, on Monday, released the schedule for the remaining matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League. The final is to be played on 26th May as Chepauk, the home ground of defending champions Chennai Super Kings, will be hosting the blockbuster after twelve years. Chepauk has hosted the IPL finals back in 2011, and 2012.
The first Qualifier and the Eliminator will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 21st and 22nd May respectively. While, the second Qualifier will be held at Chepauk. Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had already categorically stated that entire tournament will be held in India itself.
Ahead of the start of the IPL, BCCI had only come out with the partial schedule due to the upcoming general elections in the country. Recently, Election Commission of India released the schedule for general elections, following which BCCI has also released the remaining schedule.
