IPL 2024: Marcus Stoinis, Yash Thakur launch LSG to victory against GT

Marcus Stoinis unleashed his power to fire his eighth IPL half-century, helping his side beat Gujarat Titans by (33) runs in the 21st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Sunday at Ekana Sports City. Deciding to bat, LSH posted (163) in (20) overs after losing five wickets. LSG didn’t get the cracking start, however skipper KL Rahul managed to keep the side among runs with his 33-run knock.
In the middle-order, Marcus Stoinis scored (58) runs, while Nicholas Pooran remained unbeaten on (32), propelling the side to a fighting score. Chasing the total, Gujarat Titans recorded lukewarm performances from their players as they never appeared to be on the winning path, with Shubman Gill, Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar losing their wickets for low scores.
While, LSG’s Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya returned with the figures of (5-30) and (3-11) from their (3.5) and (4) overs respectively. This is Gujarat Titans’ second consecutive defeat in the tournament as they have won two games from five matches they have played so far.
