Firebrand Rashid and explosive Tewatia halt RR’s winning run

Rajasthan Royals’ unbeaten run was given a pause after magical Rashid Khan starred in Gujarat Titans’ thrilling three-wicket win over RR on Wednesday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Rashid Khan with his heroic all-round show launched Gujarat Titans to a win that put them back on track in their IPL campaign.
Rashid Khan played a blazing 11-ball 24-run knock, involving a last-ball boundary, to help GT chase a total of (196) that seemed unlikely at one time. Earlier, he also took a crucial wicket of dangerous Jos Buttler, giving away only (18) runs from his four overs. GT, in their chase had a serene start, with Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill clouting (35) and (72) respectively. Rahul Tewatia’s contribution, alongside Rashid Khan, also remained invaluable, with explosive batter hitting (22) off (11), and making unlikely chase possible.
Put into bat, Rajasthan Royals’ in-form players Rayan Parag and skipper Sanju Samson again showcased their batting display, cracking (76) and (68) respectively to help the side put up a valuable total. This is Gujarat Titans’ third victory from six games.
