“Won't be surprised if selectors are considering him for the T20 World Cup”: Former Indian player’s sensational remark on Riyan Parag

The young batter from Rajasthan Royals Riyan Parag has been making waves with his stellar performances in the ongoing Indian Premier League, displaying maturity and great skill, a form that is in total contrast to his form last season. Parag has consistently been delivering with match-winning performances, earning him praise from cricket legends.
During the previous season, Parag could not fire on all cylinders as he struggled to find rhythm with the bat, but this time he has done wonders, bringing up fruitful knocks. So far, he has amassed (261) runs from five games, remaining incredibly impressive with his smearing outings. His relentless slogging seems to be paying off.
T20I World Cup is approaching fast and Parag has established himself as a promising talent. Former Indian player Wasim Jaffer feels it won’t be surprising if selectors are considering for selection.
“Riyan Parag is emerging to be a sensational player in this IPL. It's quite refreshing to see a young player performing like this, and he has performed with such type of performances in the domestic cricket for Assam, and he's carrying that form. The no.4 suits him better, as he gets some time to settle,” Wasim Jaffer said on ESPNCricinfo.
“It seems he has done a great amount of hard work. He looks composed. His shot selection is good. He has faced huge criticism over the past few years, he also played the difficult role of a finisher, but the Royals posed their faith in him. It feels like he has the right number now, and he is in the right frame of mind. He looks dedicated to proving everyone wrong. Looking at his form, I won't be surprised if selectors are considering him for the T20 World Cup. The kind of innings he has played, showing enough consistency. I won't be surprised if we see him there," he said.
