South Africa Women and Sri Lanka Women will be locking horns in the second ODI match of the ongoing three-match series on Saturday at Diamond Oval. The first game between both teams was washed out, making this game a crucial encounter in order to take a lead.

Sri Lanka Women won the preceded T20I series, making their first series win in any format in South Africa. Sri Lanka would hope to carry forward with the same intensity to cop another series win, while South Africa would eye a comeback to overcome past setbacks.

In the first ODI, one innings had been completed as Sri Lanka had put South Africa to bat. South Africa, on the back of a super knock from Tazmin Brits, scoring (116), posted a good total of (270/6) in (50) overs. Sri Lanka, chasing down the target, could score (23) in (6.5) overs for no loss when rain stopped the proceedings, subsequently leading to the washout.

South Africa Probable XI: Laura Wolvaardt (c), Tazmin Brits, Anneke Bosch, Sune Ljus, Marianne Kapp, Nadine de Klerk, Delmi Tucker, Sinalo Jafta (wk) , Ayabonga Khaka , Masabata Klaas , Nonkululeko Mlaba
