Rahul Tewatia catapulted Gujarat Titans to a comfortable victory over Punjab Kings by three wickets on Sunday at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. Gujarat Titans kept the pace throughout their pursuit of 142, posted by Punjab Kings, to register a crucial win. GT batters stepped up, determined to chase down the target and secure a crucial victory. Meanwhile, bowlers also did an equally commendable job. Sai Kishore, Mohit Sharma and Noor Ahmad claimed four, two and two wickets, bowling out Kings for 142.

Pulsating knocks from Shubman Gill (35) and Sai Sudharsan (31) put Gujarat Titans on the path of victory, showing great control with the bat despite seeing their peers losing their wickets for low scores. Down the order, explosive Rahul Tewatia scored an unbeaten 36 off 18, launching the side to an uplifting win.

Earlier, Punjab Kings struggled to reach a notional total after their batters fell victim to a remarkable bowling attack led by GT’s Sai Kishore, chipping in with four important wickets. Punjab Kings, somehow managed to get to 142, thanks to Sam Curran and Prabhsimran Singh, who both scored 20 and 35 respectively. Moreover, spinner Harpreet Brar churned out 29 off 12, propelling the side a little more.
