IRE vs PAK 1st T20I: Pakistan, Ireland set to kick off WC preparations with three T20Is

Gearing up for the upcoming T20I World Cup, Pakistan and Ireland are set to kick off their three-match T20I series from Friday with the first game scheduled to be held at Clontarf Cricket Club. The series serves as a vital platform for both teams to fine-tune their skills ahead of the mega T20I World Cup. 

Talking about Pakistan, they recently played a five-match T20I series against New Zealand at home. The series against New Zealand ended in draw after first game was washed out due to rain. With the T20I World Cup on the horizon, every match presents an opportunity for players to stake their claim for a spot in the final squad. 

Pakistan are yet to announce their World Cup squad, having delayed it until May 22nd. To be led by Babar Azam, Pakistan enter the series with a talented set of players comprising experienced, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman

On the other hand, Ireland will be eager to make a statement and demonstrate their skills. Ireland will be captained by Paul Stirling in the presence of formidable Players like Andy Balbirnie, Mark Adair and Curtis Campher, who will be key the figures for Ireland, aiming to make significant contributions with both bat and ball.
