IPL 2024, RCB vs CSK: RCB, CSK prepare for must-win battle

In an epic clash in the ongoing Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to host Chennai Super Kings in the 68th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Saturday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It is the battle that will be deciding RCB’s fate for playoffs.
There is no lack of momentum for RCB, having been riding a wave of five-match winning streak. They started their campaign with a defeat, which was against CSK in the opening game of the tournament, but they bounced back with a win, however again they went on to record six defeats on the bounce. For RCB to qualify for playoffs, they need to thump CSK by some margin to make it to the playoffs. RCB need to beat CSK by a margin of 18 runs, presuming the score of 200 runs, while defending the total. Or, they need to chase it in 18.1 overs at least to storm into the plaoffs.
CSK, on the other hand, have blown hot and cold this season, with no consistency in their batting and bowling attack. However, they have reached this far with their gutsy efforts and the experience of their seasoned players. For CSK, the equation is quite simple they need to beat RCB to advance into the playoffs. The weather is forecast to be rainy in the lead up to the game. In case of washout, CSK will qualify for the playoffs as they have higher points and NRR than RCB.
