SA20’s 3rd season gets underway from January 9, 2025

The third season of South Africa’s T20 league SA20 will be kicked off on January 9, 2025 and will run until February 8. Having attained a lot of success over the last two years, the tournament is set to witness the presence of some high-profile names in the upcoming season. Like previous seasons, six teams will be competing in the competition, taking on one another across 34 matches in the league.
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape will be defending the title, having clinched it in the last edition. They have been the champions across three seasons. The third edition of the tournament will be clashing with the ILT20 and Australia’s Big Bash League.
"Following two successful seasons, our plan is to continue to own the South African summer and provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy some of the biggest names in world cricket, whether in packed stadiums or via the global broadcast," SA20 commissioner Graeme Smith said.
Smith also said that the tournament details like auction dates, fixtures and other necessary information will be made public in the coming months.
"Our fixtures, auction, and player announcements will be revealed over the coming months and planning is already fully in motion. We can't wait to bring another incredible sport and entertainment event to life for players and fans."
