Smriti Mandhana blasts 7th ODI hundred, creates massive record

The stalwarts of Indian Women’s cricket team Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur blitzed their hundred-laden knocks in the ongoing second ODI match of the three-match series against South Africa Women on Wednesday at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Their fabulous knocks took India to a huge total of 325/3 in 50 overs. Smriti Mandhana smacked 136 runs while Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 103. Smriti Mandhana became the first Indian Women cricketer to have clouted two hundreds on the bounce in ODIs. Mandhana also equalled the record of legendary batter Mithali Raj of having most number of centuries in ODI cricket. 

In the first ODI, Smriti also reached a century, scoring 117. Her back-to-back centuries highlight her form and ability to perform in any situation and against any formidable opponent. This remarkable achievement shows the batting techniques she possesses. Harmanpreet Kaur's innings was also impactful as India posted a challenging total.
