Colin Munro extends his journey with Heat for another two years

Defending champions Brisbane Heat have secured the services of New Zealand star Colin Munro for further two years after veteran penned a two-year deal with the franchise. Colin’s signing is a big boost for Brisbane Heat in their title defence. Recently, Colin Munro had bowed out of international cricket following his omission from New Zealand’s T20I World Cup squad.
Munro has played 428 T20 matches in several competitions across the world and scored 10,961 runs. He has had five centuries and 67 half-centuries. This will be the third stint for Munro with Brisbane Heat. In his last two seasons with Heat, Colin Munro has scored 502 runs. With the retention of Munro, Heat would be incredibly confident in defending their title. Under new contract, Munro will have to be available for Heat in all matches.
"It was pretty poignant being away and watching the boys go one better to win the title, after going through the disappointment of the previous season when we got beaten at the death in the final,'" Munro said.
"It's a strong squad again and I'm looking forward to being part of what we can build together. There are always opportunities to get better and as a group, we should be excited about the new goals we will pursue this summer."
