Women’s Tri-Series: Netherlands Women face Papua New Guinea Women

In the opening match of the Women’s Tri-Series in Netherlands, Netherlands Women will be taking on Papua New Guinea Women on Monday at Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd, Utrecht. The series will have six ODIs and three T20Is. 

Papua New Guinea Women’s recent assignment was against Zimbabwe Women in March comprising three ODIs and as many T20Is, but they failed to get any substantial outcome, losing the three-match ODI series 3-0. While, T20I series, they lost 1-2 after winning the Super Over in second T20I. 

Immediately after that, they played a Women’s ODI Tri-Series in Dubai where they outperformed USA Women in the opening game. Netherlands Women, on the other hand, remain in top-notch form, having won their preceding fixtures. They have promising players in Iris Zwilling, Silver Siegers, Eva Lynch and Myrthe van den Raad. Babette de Leede will be captaining Netherlands.
