Jacob Oram named New Zealand’s new bowling coach

Former New Zealand all-rounder Jacob Oram has been named as New Zealand’s new bowling coach. Jacob will come into the role that was left vacant by Shane Jurgensen last year. Jacob’s first assignment will be New Zealand’s upcoming tour of India for the three-match Test series. Oram recently worked with New Zealand as bowling coach at the T20I World Cup 2024.
"I'm really excited to have the opportunity to be involved with the Blackcaps again. To be back involved with a team that means so much to me and has been a big part of my life is a real honour. The recent opportunities I've had have been a great insight into where this team is going and I'm excited to continue that work in the coming seasons,” Oram said.
"There's a fresh new wave of talent coming through in the Blackcaps bowling ranks and I hope that I can share my knowledge and experience to help best prepare them for the challenges of international cricket."
Oram is hugely talented and would look to impart a great deal of knowledge to New Zealand players. He has also served as an assistant coach in the Abu Dhabi T10 and also bowling coach of MI Cape Town at SA20.
