Marnus Labuschagne talks about his face-off with Mohammed Siraj

Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India has lauded Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj, highlighting the competitive spirit. The hotly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy will get underway from November 22. Labuschagne relishes the challenge Siraj presents with his express pace and aggressive bowling style.
So far in the last few years, India have been tremendously successful, having won the last four editions at a stretch. Opening up about his first encounter with Mohammed Siraj, Labuschagne stated that Siraj has got great energy and love for the game.
"I enjoy battles with Mohamed Siraj for many reasons. We actually were at the academy in 2015-16, and he was working with the MRF Academy and we played against each other. So that's when I first met him and to see his career go in that direction. He's got great passion, great energy, and great love for the game. It's been nice to see our careers moving together from such different experiences," Labuschagne said on Star Sports.
Australia are eying their first BGT victory over India in over 10 years. Australia were also unsuccessful in downing India during the 2018-19 and 2020-21 seasons which were held in Australia. Australia’s last series win against India came in 2014-15 season.
