This encounter marks the first meeting between the two sides in the tournament, and both teams will be eager to make a strong impression.

India Women, led by the dynamic Harmanpreet Kaur, come into the match with a formidable squad filled with experienced campaigners and young talent. Team India recently showed resilience in the Women’s Asia Cup 2024, but lost in the final to Sri Lanka Women. Now, this new start offers them a chance to showcase their explosive batting and bowling. With players like Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues in the batting lineup, India possess the capability to create early dominance in the tournament.

On the other hand, New Zealand Women, captained by Sophie Devine, are also known for their competitive spirit and balanced squad.
