Marnus Labuschagne look to target Kohli with bouncers

As the anticipation builds for the upcoming five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy between Australia and India, Australian player Marnus Labuschagne has made a bold declaration to target Indian batting supremo Virat Kohli with bouncers. Labuschagne, who is a part-time bowler, is ready to unleash a barrage of short-pitched deliveries aimed at unsettling Kohli. Labuschagne said he has never touched 135 kmph mark but he has come quite close.
"Are you going to get the number three of Australia rolling in, bowling bouncers to Virat Kohli? People want to see that. You want to see, can you play on someone's ego. Like, 'are you going to be ducking bouncers from Marnus?" Labuschagne said on The Grade Cricketer.
"I'd love to hit a little 135 bouncer. I've got that in me, I reckon. My highest recorded is 132. So 3 kmph," added Labuschagne.
Marnus Labuschagne has taken thirteen wickets in 50 Test matches he has been part of. The high-profile series is just a month away but the players have already started strategising.
"I'm happy to throw in whenever. Whatever the team needs. I'd love to hit a little 135 kmph bouncer. I got that in me. My highest recorded is 132 kmph, so just three k more. The boys hate that. They'll hate that I've said that I've got 135 in me," Labuschagne added.
