Indian Women are gearing up for an exciting series as they prepare to host West Indies and Ireland for a series of matches in December and January. The two upcoming series will provide ample opportunities for both Indian players and for the touring teams to gain valuable experience against one another.
India will first take on the West Indies, starting in December. The series will consist of three T20Is followed by three ODIs. T20Is will be played in Navi Mumbai, while ODIs will be played in Vadodara. Meanwhile, this is Ireland’s first-ever bilateral tour of India, and their first series against each other since 2006.
The T20Is against West Indies will be played on December 15, 17 and 19 respectively, while ODIs will be held on December 22, 24 and 27. The ODI series will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship. Notably, West Indies last played a white-ball series against India in India in 2016. India won T20Is 3-0, while lost the ODIs 0-3. Ireland have a very negative record against India, having lost all of 12 ODIs played against India.
