New Zealand batter Devon Conway will be unavailable for the third and final Test match against England due to the impending birth of his first child. England are leading the series 2-0 after beating the Black Caps in the first two games by eight wickets and 323 runs respectively. New Zealand will add Mark Chapman to the squad as a replacement for Conway ahead of the third Test, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday in Hamilton.

“Family comes first in this environment and we’re all really excited for Dev and his wife Kim to welcome their first child,” said Stead.

“Mark was with the test squad in India recently and returned to the Plunket Shield by scoring an impressive 276 - so it’s a good time for him to be joining us.”

Batter Will Young also remains in contention in Conway's absence. He was the player of the series during New Zealand's tour of India, where they beat India 3-0.
