England announce squads for multi-format tour of Australia

England have named their squad for the upcoming Women's Ashes with Ryana MacDonald-Gay earning her maiden ashes call-up. She has featured in two ODIs and one T20I for England since making her international debut against Ireland in September. England will be touring Australia for a multi-format series, where they will play three ODIs, three T20Is and a four-day test match.
Ryana MacDonald-Gay is riding high on her brilliant performance on her Test debut in South Africa where she claimed two wickets. Linsey Smith and Freya Kemp have also been added to the T20I squad. Kate Cross has been named into the ODI and Test squads. She recently missed the One-Off Test match against South Africa Women, which England won by 286 runs. England, meanwhile, are hoping to retain Ashes for the first time since 2014.
"We have named balanced squads for this Ashes series, with a good mix of youth and experience. Ashes series are always special. We want to go there, play our way, and are all excited about the challenges ahead," England Women head coach Jon Lewis said.
