AUS vs IND: Tanush Kotian added to Indian squad as R Ashwin's replacement

Off-spinner Tanush Kotian is set to replace Ravichandaran Ashwin in India's squad for the remaining fourth and fifth Test matches of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kotian's addition to Indian squad comes in the wake of R Ashwin's retirement from international cricket. Ashwin bowed out of international cricket at the end of third Test match between India and Australia in Brisbane.

Kotian is likely to head to Australia on Tuesday. He has been in sublime form in domestic cricket, churning out searing performances. He was a crucial figure in Mumbai's victory in the last season of Ranji Trophy. He was also part of India's A squad that played Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. 

He featured in the second game, claiming one wicket and scoring 44 runs. He has played 33 first-class matches in which he has scored 1525 runs at an average of 41.21. He has also taken 101 wickets at an impressive average of 25.70. He has smacked two centuries and 13 half-centuries.
