Anrich Nortje, Lungi Ngidi return as South Africa name full-strength squad for Champions Trophy

High-quality pacers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi have been added to South Africa’s squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Both players have been on the sidelines following their respective injuries.  They have been out of action for a long period. Anrich Nortje was out with a toe injury, while Ngidi was away with a groin injury. Nortje made his last appearance in ODIs in 2023. Ngidi, on the other hand, has been away from international cricket since October 2024. 

Temba Bavuma will be leading the side. New players to have been added to the squad are Wiaan Mulder, Tony de Zorzi and Ryan Rickleton. South Africa will begin their campaign on February 21 by clashing with Afghanistan in Karachi. The squad also features big hitters like Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, and David Miller.
