Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been named as probables in Delhi’s squad for the next round of Ranji Trophy 2024-25. They both were part of India’s recently concluded Border-Gavaskar series against Australia. Rishabh Pant, meanwhile has confirmed his availability for Delhi’s next Ranji Trophy game against Saurashtra, beginning on January 23 in Rajkot.

DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma confirmed Pant’s availability. Pant last featured in a Ranji Trophy match in the 2017-18 season. However, there is no confirmation on the availability of Virat Kohli

"Yes, Pant has confirmed his availability for the next Ranji game and will join the squad in Rajkot directly. About Virat Kohli we want him to play but we haven't heard from him while Harshit Rana is selected in the T20 squad and hence is unavailable," Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) secretary Ashok Sharma said as quoted by PTI.

Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also likely to play for their respective sides. Following India’s massive setback against Australia, high-profile players are turning up to play domestic cricket in order to regain their form.
