Rohit, Yashasvi and Iyer to miss Mumbai’s upcoming Ranji match

Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer are set to miss Mumbai’s upcoming must-win clash against Meghalaya in Ranji Trophy. The trio has been has been dropped from Mumbai’s squad and they have been replaced by Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Suryansh Shedge and Atharva Ankolekar. The trio is also in India's ODI squad for the series against England, a key series for their preparations leading into an action-packed Champions Trophy. India will take on England in the first of three ODIs on February 6.
Meanwhile, Mumbai lost their last game against Jammu and Kashmir, making this match incredibly important to win. Mumbai are placed third in Group A as they will be fighting hard in order to qualify for the knockouts. They are behind Jammu and Kashmir and Baroda in the points table. Mumbai’s match against Meghalaya will be beginning from January 30.
Rohit Sharma, who made a comeback in Ranji Trophy in the last game against Jammu and Kashmir, failed to make any positive impact registering the figures of 3 and 28 across both innings. All the national players turned up for Ranji matches after BCCI issued guidelines, making it mandatory for centrally contracted players to play Ranji Trophy.
