IPL 2025 schedule announced, high-profile event to begin on March 22

The schedule for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has officially been announced. This year’s tournament will kick off on March 22, with Eden Gardens playing a central role by hosting both the opening match and the grand finale on May 25. It will also play host to the Qualifier 2 on May 23. While, the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be played in Hyderabad.
A total of 74 matches will be played across 65 action-packed days. With 12 double-header days included, this year’s competition promises to deliver an abundance of cricketing excitement. The opener of IPL 2025 will see defending Champions Kolkata Knight Riders take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in evening clash.
While, Sunday will witness a double-header with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals clashing in the afternoon clash in Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings battling Mumbai Indians in evening clash in Chennai.
