WPL 2025: Gujarat Giants clash with Mumbai Indians

In the fifth match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League, Gujarat Giants Women will be facing Mumbai Indians Women on Tuesday at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara. After encountering a rocky start, Gujarat Giants made a heroic comeback with a dominant six-wicket win over UP Warriorz in their last game in Vadodra.
Skipper Ashleigh Gardner has been a consistent performer for Giants in the batting department and she was one of the reasons behind GT’s marvellous comeback. Heading into this game, Gujarat Giants would hope to carry on with the same rhythm and tenacity.
Mumbai Indians Women, on the other hand, would look to bounce back after facing a defeat in their opening match against Delhi Capitals. Riding on the beautiful innings of Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur, MI set a target of 165 for DC. But, their bowlers, who although did a fine job, failed to restrict DC from clinching a victory. Nonetheless, MI will aim to return to winning times as they gear up to battle GT.
