Champions Trophy, AUS VS SA: All you need to know about the thrilling showdown

Riding high on their victories in their last games, Australia and South Africa are gearing up to square off in the seventh match of the Champions Trophy, to be held on Tuesday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. The stage is set for a thrilling battle as both teams prepare to bring their competitive spirit and determination to the fore.
Australia come into this match with a sense of momentum following their impressive victory in their last game against England. Josh Inglish was the man, who stole the show with his staggering 120-run knock to guide the side to a five-wicket win. Despite missing their frontline seamers Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, Australia made it tough for England to challenge them.
South Africa also head into this crucial match with the confidence of having won their previous encounter against Afghanistan. Proteas will once again be eager to prove their worth in the match against Australia, and a victory over Australia would significantly boost their chances of progressing further in the tournament.
In their last match, South Africa displayed excellent batting depth, led by the explosive Ryan Rickelton, who has been in exceptional form. He played an impressive knock of 103 to set the tone for a massive total.
Down the order, skipper Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen cracked 58 and 52 respectively to power the side to 315/6 in 50 overs. On the bowling front, South Africa’s pacers, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidid and Wiaan Mulder were impressive providing breakthroughs to the team at regular intervals.
Now, with both teams coming off victories, this match is expected to be a fierce contest, with each side eager to continue their winning run.
