Thakur claims four-wicket haul as LSG keep SRH to 190

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) delivered a superb bowling performance to restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to a mere 190 runs in their second match of the 2025 IPL season on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. LSG’s bowlers put on a clinical show, spearheaded by the impressive Shardul Thakur, who claimed four crucial wickets.

Shardul Thakur's four-wicket haul was the standout performance of the match, as SRH's batting line-up failed to fire against his impressive bowling. His scalps included some vital wickets, including Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, which put SRH on the back foot and prevented them from building any major partnerships.

SRH's middle order was unable to provide the much-needed stability,  while their lower-order batters managed to chip in with a few runs. Travis Head was the top-scorer, who scored 47 off 28. Earlier, LSG won the toss and decided to bowl.
