Earlier, Rajasthan Royals, after being asked to bat, put up a competitive total of 182/9 in 20 overs. The innings was largely built around a scintillating knock from Nitish Rana. He played a match-defining 81-run innings, displaying his power-hitting abilities. His knock included ten boundaries and five sixes that helped RR reach a competitive total, despite some middle-order collapses.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings’ chase got off to a rocky start, with Rachin Ravindra losing his wicket for (0). They quickly found themselves under pressure. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was the only CSK batter to rise to the occasion, playing an outstanding knock of 63 runs.
