Jasprit Bumrah joins Mumbai Indians’ squad

News

Mumbai Indians’ hopes for a turnaround in the ongoing Indian Premier League have received a significant boost with the return of incredible Jasprit Bumrah, who has joined MI’s squad ahead of a must-win clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Monday. Bumrah had been undergoing rehab at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru following a stress-related issue in his lower back.

Bumrah missed MI’s initial games but has sparked renewed optimism in the MI camp with his return.  While he has got the fitness clearance from the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) medical team, he is most likely set to miss MI’s match against RCB. Meanwhile, he has played 133 matches for Mumbai Indians, claiming 165 wickets. Bumrah picked up his latest injury in January during the second day of the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Sydney. Following the injury, he missed the home white-ball series against England and the Champions Trophy.
