CSK rope in Ayush Mhatre as replacement for Gaikwad

Chennai Super Kings have reportedly roped in Ayush Mhatre as the replacement for skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was recently ruled out of the tournament following an elbow fracture. Mhatre was called for a two-week trial by CSK, following which he was signed by the franchise.
He has a staggering record in first-class cricket for Mumbai, having piled up 504 runs, including two centuries and a half-century. He has also played for Mumbai in seven list A games. In list A games, he has the highest score of 181 against Nagaland. As far as CSK’s campaign in the ongoing IPL is concerned, they are currently sitting at the bottom of the points table with one victory from six games.
