Xavier Bartlett signs with San Francisco Unicorns

Australian pacer Xavier Bartlett has signed with San Francisco Unicorns for the upcoming season of the Major League Cricket. Currently, Bartlett is at the Indian Premier League, playing for Punjab Kings. At Francisco Unicorns, he will join his Australian teammates Cooper Connolly, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matt Short.
This is the first time that Xavier Bartlett will be playing in the Major League Cricket. He has also represented Australia in the white-ball format, and he was the leading wicket-taker in the 2023-24 season of the Big Bash League (BBL).
"Xavier has shown his prowess leading the bowling attack for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League and he will be a great addition to the Unicorns bowling line up with his wicket-taking ability with the new ball," Unicorns head coach Shane Watson said.
"Having developed through the national pathways in Australia and onto the international scene, he's matured into a very clever pace bowler, able to both keep the rate down and break key partnerships."
At the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), Bartlett has played three games for Punjab Kings, which is coached by Australian legend Ricky Ponting.
