Mumbai Indians outclass Rajasthan in big win

Mumbai Indians delivered a ruthless all-round performance to decimate Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs in their Indian Premier League clash on Thursday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, effectively shutting the door on RR’s playoff aspirations.
Put into bat, MI unleashed a brutal assault on RR’s bowling attack, amassing a formidable total of 217/2 in 20 overs. Openers Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma set the tone early, hammering 61 and 53 runs, respectively, in a dominating opening stand that laid the foundation for a towering score. In the middle order, ever-reliable Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya remained unbeaten on 48 runs apiece, guiding the side past the 200-run mark.
Chasing the target, RR faltered and were bundled out for a paltry 117 in 16.1 overs, succumbing to an exceptional display of disciplined bowling from Mumbai Indians. RR’s star-studded batting lineup, filled with firepower, failed to make any significant impact. Wickets fell in quick succession as MI bowlers turned the screws relentlessly, never allowing RR to gain any momentum. For MI, Trent Boult and Karn Sharma took three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah returned with two wickets.
