CSK rope in Urvil Patel as replacement for Vansh BedI

Chennai Super Kings have roped in Urvil Patel as a replacement for Vansh Bedi, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury. Bedi, who has been ruled out with a ligament tear in his left ankle, was snapped up by CSK for INR 55 lakh at the auction last year; however, he didn’t get to play a single game.
As for Urvil, he grabbed headlines in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after blazing a 28-ball century against Tripura. That was the joint-fastest T20 hundred by an Indian player. Patel, who has played 47 T20 matches, amassing 1,162 runs, joins CSK at his base price of INR 30 lakh. He was also part of Gujarat Titans’ squad in 2023. However, he is uncapped in the IPL.
